1962 Chestnut stallion. Died 1991 aged 29.

Sire: Errigal, a chestnut stallion foaled 1953, by Silvermines out of an Irish Pearl mare.
 Irish Pearl, through Pride of Cork goes back to Kildare, a well respectrd Irish Draught stallion in the 1900's.
Dam: Ruby by Trueboy, a bay roan about 16hh.
 Trueboy's sire, Castlebawn was also by Kildare.
G/Dam: Biddens was a Thoroughbred mare by Mirador. 


The King of Diamonds was a Grade A showjumper and went on to become the leading sire of showjumpers in Ireland.
