Highland King ISH Sire : Highland Flight (Elopement, G/Son of Hyperion) Highland Flight, a Thoroughbred,was a prolific sire of Irish showjumpers including -Harley, Top Flight and Eddie Mackens Kilkenny Flight. His dam was by a son of Pharos. Dam : Aisling (King of Diamonds) Aisling was out of a mare called Miss Wilson.(further breeding unknown) Highland King,a respected eventing sire, was placed joint 4th. (with Master Imp) in the 2008 WBFSH rankings for eventing stallions. He is the sire of the talented horses : McKinlaigh,Car Tanga and Ballincoola.  (Ballincoola died Sept.2010 aged 16 of a heart attack.He had 1637 British Eventing points and competed in 15- 3 day events,9 of which were 4 star. He was British Eventing Horse of the Year 2008.) |
