Enniskeane Countess RID.
Sire : Glen Lad. Dam : Valley Moon (Galty Og) Born in 1961, she was a chamption mare by 1967. Enniskeane Countess was a very influential mare in her own right and in the importance she adds to Traditional Irish Breeding pedigrees. She produced two stallion sons (Enniskeane Prince and Enniskeane Pride, both by Pride Of Shaunlara) and more importantly was the dam of the legendary Kildalton Countess. She was barren only twice in twenty yrs. and was RDS Irish Draught Broodmare Champion in 1967.(Prize money £25)Importantly, her pedigree goes back to Woodranger, a great producer of broodmares and quality horses with performance ability, on three different lines. Tara, damsire of Clover Hill, was double bred to Woodranger.
